I found this lovely sofa via Design*Sponge. I have been searching for a leather sofa, believing it should be black. How wrong I was. I love the aqua colour and especially the shape of this couch.

I have found my future wedding dress and I was not even looking. Especially due to the lack of male persons in my life. But it really is perfect, it's set!

I also like this embellishment with the pearls, should not be to diffucult to incorporate. I hope.

Chandalier - the new way

I am don't have enough lighting in my home and I would very much like a chandalier or two. One for over the kitchen table, a small crystal clear one. And one for my main room, one that is vibrant, fun and whimsical. Like this one. I need to take myself to a thrift store immediately.

Enough with the pink already!

Seems like I have gone in to girly overload, not sure why. I am seriously considering buying myself a murror like this one to adorn. I know just the place, Love Your Home. I suppose I should get a golden hook as well while I am at it. Then all that is lef is to decide where to put it.

I am not to fond of having mirrors visual from my bed, but I think it has to be that room or, perhaps, the kitchen. Kirtchen could be good. We might have a winner!

I have succumed to the fact that RICE is my thing. I literally want everything and especially the Italian tableware, all of it. Just look at it. Wouldn't you like some colour in your life too?

I think I will have to make a deal with myself and buy a few of these a month or so. I'll start with the bowls, after all breakfast should be taken seriously.

I found this nice little web shop, kaarskoker, that offers an opportunity to spice up my future chandelier. My plan is to buy one, spray paint it a nice bright colour and know I can even make the lights match. This makes the whole colour picking part so much more difficult.

I suspect that the shipping will be more expensive than the blanket itself and therefore my household rule forbids me from buying it. I have been too deeply involved in my work life lately. I has offered a lot of drama and I have not had the energy to blog. However, I have been reading other blogs and found so many nice things. It is time to blog them before I forget.

I found the perfect thing to use as a tv-stand/desk. I am would love to have this one since I work on a small ittybitty iBook it would for nicely. I is also long enough that I can work on one end while have the TV on on the other end. I think this is the Malm dressing table from IKEA. I hope I can do a great job painting it white.

Having worked my butt of at my new job for the last six month I was at a dead end and took the two weeks off, "working from home". My hours are totally flexible as long as our clients are satisfied. I hope they do not all attack me tomorrow, *fingers crossed*. As I have had time do distance myself from what I do I have realized that this is fun for now, but not what I will be doing for the rest of my life.

I would really like to start a successful business of my own. Possibly one that starts on the Online and grows into a store of some sort. This is a long term plan though, I intend to stay at my current job for at least 5 years. (Slight panic while writing that).

I still need a nice office space at home and the Trunk Station would be a terrific solution in my small home.

Still searching for a nice bead solution. I am not too fond of the colours, but the idea is fantastic! It could make for a really unique piece and I can change the fabric if (when) I grow tired of it.

I would like to have one in bright and bold, yet traditional patchwork patterns. I will have to dive into Etsy to see what I can find.

I found this desk at the news section at Ikea. It comes in pine and in black. To my surprise I quite like the black one. The other option would be to buy it in pine and paint it some nicer colour like yellow or green or turquoise.

I have been staying with my parents for a week during Christmas. The stay was great since I was in need of a break from my life, especially my job. While there I started looking on a site with adds for apartments for sale and as it turns out it is quite the realistic dream that I could own my home within a year. I am so not looking for a rental anymore. Not when apartments like these are out there.

I am looking for nice bed solutions for smaller spaces. This captain's bed would be great for where I live now. I am hoping to find a nice two room flat, but I still want it to be rather small. It would good to make a bed like this while searching for that one perfect bed.

I am so much wanting to add some yellow to my home. I found a colour called Beijing Yellow that I bought and now I am just looking to decide what I want to add it to. The original idea was to make a yellow coffee table. But now I am finding all sorts of inspiring ways to add yellow to my life. Maybe a chandelier.

I always check in on Pottery Barn and find that I don´t like there colour schemes at all. After that I move on to PBteen and dive into the stuff I like. It is too bad that I can´t get any of their things where I live now.

Something refreshing

This bathroom set will make all the difference. I have a wall colour that can be described as light blue (if you want to be nice) and the floor tiles match that colour. It has been difficult to find a colour besides black or white ( I don´t like blue) that works in the bathroom. I have been pondering whether to get this set or not. And now I have bought it.

I received a text message that I can no go off to the nearest supermarket and pick it up.

I now plan to get a lovely tea cup and put some fresh soaps from Body Shop in it. Placing the cup on the window sill together with the jewelry stand. Hopefully in the new apartment I will also have a dishwasher to place an nice plant upon. That would make the room more serene.

I am searching for inspiration for how to decorate my living room. I want it to be a social yet cozy place just for me. I will want to read books, see movies and work on the computer in the same room. I want to have friends and family over so I need nice seating options. However, if I find something like this, it will all be mine.

I would so much like to have one of these. However, I am too far away to actually go there and see if they still have one for me. Instead I intend to buy ornaments for sale after christmas and make one for next year. I mean, how difficult could it be:)

A little bit of my home this morning

I was trying to get some decent pictures of my kitchen to show my parents over Christmas. I don´t get along with my camera. Even though I just click repeatedly with the same settings over and over the pictures turn out completely different. I am planning to buy a new one soon. Any tips on what to get. I happen to have a dog who I take lots of pictures of . Something that takes well to movement would be good.

I have been waiting and waiting for the Toronto Ork Poster to be finished and ready for sale. While swooing over the other posters I realized that there is one for D.C as well. That is perfect! I have lived in both D.C. (sorta) and Toronto for work and studies. I lived in Toronto for a year and I am dying to go back and possibly live there again. I have not been in Toronto since 2003 but I keep getting postcards saying: You belong here.

I have a friend that is slightly obsessed with keeping different foods separate during the cooking process. I, however, am a bit more lazy when it comes to that. Now, though, I have found something that will give me the a will to be tidy, index chopping blocks. Aren´t they pretty?

I love love love love books. At the moment my books are stored in an Ikea unit, Expedit. It has served as a room divider for a while and I am no longer a fan of it. It is too big and it swallows too few books. I have been lovingly gazing at String System. It seems to fit all my needs and wants. Only prblem, a teeny bit on the expensive side and I am not a patient saver.

I have lived for over three years without a stereo. Surely I can play music on my mac laptop, but I have no sound system connected to it so the quality is quite bad.

I have beed looking for something that looks good, sounds good and is compatible wirelessly with my computer. Also I want to be able to connect an iPod to it as well. And of course the Swedes have come up with a solution for me. Fireant, which turns out not to be too expensive either.

However, this does not mean that I no longer want a Tivoli Audio iPal for my kitchen. And maybe one for the bedroom as well. (yes, I know excessive) It is nice to be able to play mp3-music on the sound systems since I can´t remember the last time I actually bought a real CD.

I am quite tired of my white Japanese style inspired tableware. I want something colourful that will allow me to take the doors of my cabinets and let the beauty flow out into the room. As you can see in my header I am a fan of RICE and their Italian tableware.

I have been pondering what type of bed I want. Having spent quite some time in nice hotels the last year I have had the opportunity to try a few solutions out.

My conclusion was that I want the following for my bed:
1. The perfect matress
2. Comfy comforter (already purchased)
3. Some distance from the ground
4. I head board to lean on
5. At least 140 cm wide
6. Pillows to lean on

Now I think I may have found it.
